Stories from the Field: Showing Movies 📽️ 🍿 in the Village 🛖

Over the years, our ministry partners have shown us many new ways to use the video Bible stories. Early on, we believed the most useful path for sharing the videos would be person-to-person on phones. But soon, missionaries and pastors were holding regular Bible study groups under trees and in huts. Then one of our partners suggested YouTube so we began to create a YouTube channel for each language and library.
But almost from the beginning, one of the best ways to share the Bible stories was at "movie nights." Whether in Colombia, Kenya, or Thailand, the missionaries set up a screen and a projector, and the people in the towns or villages, or even out in the bush, would come from everywhere to see.

Many of the projectors that are being used have been provided by the generosity of the OneMessage.tv community, including the projector being used by Luo Missionary Betty Achieng Oloo in Ugunja, Kenya.
On Fridays they show the video Bible stories in a nearby school. And every Saturday, Betty and her team show them to a group of children in her village.

Betty says the children respond so well to the Good News, and adds that they have even had some Muslim children come to watch the videos.
“Two Muslim girls were watching the Bible stories and got interested. Afterwards they accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.”

Betty asks that you keep these new believers, as well as her and her ministry, in prayer as they continue to reach the community.
