Next week we head out for our first trip of 2024 to record Bible story videos in Thailand. But there are a number of other firsts connected with this trip.
OneMessage.tv’s first time working with a people group in Asia
Our first project with the Isaan people group.
There are nearly 20 million people who make up the Isaan people group, and they are considered unreached, with less than one-half of one percent who are believers. The vast majority of the Isaan people live in the northeast part of Thailand. But the language also spills over into neighboring Cambodia and Communist Laos.
God providentially brought us together with a group of Thai pastors more than a year ago. They shared their heart for the Isaan people and the ministry they are leading to reach into this deeply Buddhist part of the country.
They told us, “There is a lack of understanding about who Jesus is.” And they said, “We need tools.” When we explained the OneMessage.tv video Bible story project and our heart for reaching oral learners, the pastors told us, “We need this.”
We at OneMessage.tv were hooked. At that moment, we knew that God was calling us to Thailand. A year later, here we go!
Please begin praying daily for our trip. We sense that something powerful will happen in this project because the enemy has already started to attack even before we leave.
