In just a few days we will be leaving for Africa to begin a video Bible story project for a new people group, the Luo tribe in Kenya: more than 5 million people, with fewer than 10 percent reached.
Sometimes I think we glaze over those numbers too easily. That’s more than 4-and-a-half-million unreached people!
URGENCY
We also often talk about the urgency of the call to reach the heart of every oral learner with the Word of God in a way they can understand. It’s urgent for two main reasons:
It’s urgent because in many parts of Kenya, Islam is growing and we may not always have the freedom to openly come and record video Bible stories.
Even more urgent – unreached people are dying and going to hell every day.
