The call continues to grow for the OneMessage.tv tool that reaches oral learners with the Word of God. Today I want to share with you about one of the newest language groups we are engaging with and making plans to begin working with next year.
The Achuar of Peru live in a very remote part of the Amazon jungle.
Their primary language is Achuar-Shiwiar. About 11,000 Achuar live in Peru, and another 7,000 live in Ecuador. Their main religion is animism, the worship of spirits in plants, animals, and inanimate objects.
Pastor Daniel will be our local ministry partner in Peru. His mother is part of the Achuar people group and was reached many years ago by missionaries, so he has a heart for his mother’s people to be reached, too.
Our capacity to respond to the growing call of oral learners like these is what makes the OneMessage.tv mission so urgent, and it is why we have launched our campaign called “72 for the Harvest.”
If OneMessage.tv can find 72 new partners who are willing to commit to as little as $35 a month, that will be enough to fund an entire, additional trip and the production of the first 10 video Bible stories in 2024.
We just began the call for “the 72” a couple of weeks ago, and already 20 of you have stepped up and made the commitment.
Thank you!
Our goal is to find all of our “72” by the end of October.
If you are not already one of our monthly partners, would you please consider joining and becoming part of our 72?
If you are already a partner, could you share OneMessage.tv with someone who also shares your heart's desire to reach oral learners with God’s Word? (To share this post, click the 3 dots at the top right of the post.)
