It’s been a few weeks since our last newsletter, and there is a lot going on. So, let us catch you up on some of it.
HEADED BACK TO COLOMBIA
We have set a date for our next production trip, and planning is underway. We are going back to Colombia on November 14-19.
The Chamí were the very first people group we worked with after launching OneMessage.tv. We went and shot for the first time five years ago.
After we were finally able to return 3 years later, our mission partners lost their residency in Colombia and had to be sent on a new assignment in another country. But praise the Lord, another mission partner was able to return recently, and they have begun working with the Chamí people again. So, in just a few weeks we will return.
Please begin praying for this trip. Our requests as always are for the health and safety of our team, and that God would already be preparing the hearts of the people in the village to be excited participants in the videos. 2025 IS COMING SOON!
The number of projects for the coming year are exciting, and a little overwhelming.
THAILAND – In February, we will be making a second trip to Thailand to record the last 10 stories for the Isaan library. As a reminder, the Isaan people are in northeast Thailand. There are 23 million people and only 40,000 believers. The churches there have a goal of planting 2,678 new churches in the next 10 years.
KENYA / LUO – We are also returning to Kenya to complete the library for the Luo people. The Luo are 4 million people who live not just in Kenya, but in Uganda and Tanzania as well.
KENYA / SWAHILI – Finally, we have confirmed another trip to a new part of Kenya near Mombasa along the coast. We will begin a brand new library in Swahili, a common language spoken across eastern Africa. For some time now, we have felt God leading us to record our videos in languages that can be understood across many borders.
So we already have three confirmed projects set for the first half of 2025. Most years so far, we have only been able to complete two trips.
We are also talking to mission partners about projects in Guatemala and Peru, as well as others.
