I'm home just 24 hours from the oneMESSAGE.tv's pilot of the Bible Storying Video Project. I was not even back from South America yet, when we completed our first Bible story using an indigenous narrator and actors to tell the story of Abraham and God's call of him to sacrifice his only son, Isaac. It's one of the most familiar Bible stories to many people raised in the United States. But the indigenous group we were working with is one 3,200 people groups around the world who have not yet heard or seen the gospel of Jesus in a way they can understand.
This story is so important for laying the groundwork of the sacrifice that God made to rescue us, a sacrifice he ultimately didn't ask Abraham to make. Take a look at our first story on this project.
The great thing about finishing the first story while I was still in South America was that I was able to follow our partners around the communities as they shared the video with our people group. There's always a certain satisfaction with seeing the person who is going to use a video see it for the first time, but there's is a special exhilaration when what they are seeing is a message from God for the first time. Here are some of the people they shared it with.
With more than $5,800 donated, everyday Christians have funded 38% of the entire project. That has been enough to cover the costs of the production in South America, as well as, the costs of editing 3 stories so far.
We are looking for new friends who have a vision for reaching the unreached people groups with the Gospel. If God is calling you to be a part, you could give your first one time donation, or pray about becoming a regular partner who would commit to giving on a regular basis.
