Last week, our team returned to Colombia to complete the recording and narrations for the Chamí people.
The Chamí hold a special place in our hearts because they were the very first unreached people group that OneMessage.tv worked with. In many ways, their video Bible story library has been the most challenging to complete. But because they were first, we learned so many things from working with them.
The Chamí may be the most perfect example of the type of people group OneMessage.tv wants to reach. Twenty years ago, there may have been fewer than 20 believers among the entire people group of more than 16,000. As far as our mission partners know, there is not a single Christian church in any Chamí village. The vast majority cannot even read this recently completed translation of the Bible in the Chamí language.
But some amazing things are happening among the Chamí since we began recording Bible stories with them. They are following Jesus, they are being baptized, and they are sharing the Good News with other villages. And the beginning of a church is forming in at least one village.
In the coming weeks, we will be sharing the story of a man we consider to be OneMessage.tv's first changed life, and he is important to the ministry to the Chamí as well.
If you want to help us cross the finish line completing the Chamí video Bible story library, you can still give here. We need to finish recording two stories and more than ten narrations.
Thank you for your continued partnership with OneMessage.tv!
