Please pray for our upcoming trip to Africa

As you know, we are returning to Turkana in Kenya July 9-20. Over the next few weeks we will be sharing more about this upcoming project.

We want to begin by sharing some prayer requests for our trip. By praying, you are filling a critical role on the OneMessage.tv team!

Turkana is in the northernmost part of the country. It’s the nearest to the Sahara Desert, and the area has experienced severe drought conditions for the past several years.

This has made food, water, and usable grazing land scarce. It has created a great deal of strife between tribes, and the government has imposed dusk to dawn curfews to control the unrest.

The trip to Turkana is far and away the most physically taxing project we have done so far. The heat is brutal. The crew must take extra precautions to stay hydrated throughout the recording day and overheating is always a concern.

We are at the halfway point in the Video Bible project for the Turkana people. Last year, we recorded 10 of the 20 videos in the project. Many of these videos are already being shared in Turkana.

Please pray:

Pray for the Turkana people to hear and respond to the gospel.

Pray for peace among the Turkana people and their neighboring tribes.

Pray for rain. The Turkana need relief from drought conditions.

Pray for the actors who will be participating in the next round of videos.

Pray for the success and stamina of our video production crew.

Pray for our travel, safety, and health during our upcoming trip.
