Well, we did it. We set out to return to Kenya, and complete a library of 20 Bible storying videos for the Samburu people.. Mission accomplished. Sort of.
Before we returned to Africa for the second time this year, we had completed recording and editing the first 7 stories in the library of 20. On our return trip, we nearly doubled that number and recorded another 13 stories.
So when I say, "we did it", I mean, we have now RECORDED all 20 stories. We still need to edit the remaining 13, and we need the help of our oneMESSAGE.tv community to to complete the funding for this project.
You have already donated nearly half of the $30,299 needed to fully fund the Samburu library. And for that, we are so grateful.
Many of you have committed every month to financially support oneMESSAGE.tv, and the mission to reach every unreached people group in our lifetime. And many of you, gave over and above the your regular gifts. You are amazing!
Let me share some of your accomplishments of your prayers and donations. Our crew recorded in two separate villages over a two week span.
• First complete library of video Bible stories for a people group have been recorded.
• Some of the stories we recorded include: the story of the 10 Plagues, the 10 Commandments, Jesus feeding the 5,000 and Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead.
• In both villages we were able to do a public viewing of some of the completed videos from the first trip, and our mission partner has 9 portable video projectors to show videos because of a Facebook birthday fundraiser by one of our supporters.
• Even as we continue to edit the remaining videos, we are already making plans to return to Kenya. Our mission partners there are reaching out to 6 other people groups who need to hear God's Word in a way they can understand.
This trip was so successful. Thank you for prayers throughout the trip. Our entire team remained safe and healthy. Thanks to you, oneMESSAGE.tv is accelerating the spread of the gospel to the hardest to reach people groups in the world.
So much has been accomplished but much work is left to be done. Editing for the 13 stories that we just recorded should be completed on this library by the end of 2021. Editing doesn't seem as exciting as the travel and production, but it's still a large and very critical part of the process. And we still need your help to make it happen. We still need $1,062 to complete this project. Will you please help?
