Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, and is probably the biggest shopping day of the year. Three days later is Cyber Monday, and it is probably the biggest online shopping day of the year. The next day is Giving Tuesday and it has become a global celebration of giving!
Giving Tuesday is one of 3 days where donors are looking for non-profits to support. Last year, more than $400 million was donated on Giving Tuesday alone! And oneMESSAGE.tv is beyond excited to be able to participate this year! We can't wait to see what God will do in and through his people on December 3rd.
For us, Giving Tuesday is much more than just raising money. It's about funding a project that will help 3,200 unreached people groups see and hear the gospel in a way that they can understand.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
We are glad you asked. Below are several ideas for how you can help make Giving Tuesday a great day for oneMESSAGE.tv.
Go to our GIVING TUESDAY event on Facebook and select GOING. Don't worry. There's not an actual event that you need to attend. It's just a "save the date" reminder that will help generate interest in giving on December 3rd.
Share our GIVING TUESDAY event on your personal Facebook page and invite others to participate in this "global celebration of giving".
Share other GIVING TUESDAY related posts from oneMESSAGEtv on Facebook between now and December 3rd.
Post on Facebook occasionally between now and December 3rd to help us spread the word about Giving Tuesday. Here are some sample posts that you can use:

SHARE YOUR GIVING STORY
Use Social Media to share why you give to oneMESSAGE.tv. A great way to do this is to download one of these two templates and print them out. Then write in your "why" and take an #unselfie with the paper. Post it on Social Media. Be sure to use the hashtags #unselfie #givingtuesday #mygivingstory and #onemessagetv. If you're especially daring, you can do a video instead of a photo!
If you want to take it a step further, you can upload your story and photo or video to mygivingstory.givingtuesday.org. The winning storytellers receive grants of up to $10,000 which they can use to give to their favorite non-profits.

We would be remiss to not mention giving on Giving Tuesday. We don't want to bombard you with requests for money. But we don't want to miss an opportunity to take advantage of this one-day global celebration of giving. No gift is too small...or too big.
Your tax-deductible gifts go directly to produce video Bible stories for illiterate people groups around the world so they can hear the gospel in their own language. What greater cause is there than sharing God's Word with people in a way they can understand? We could not do what we do without you. And for that, we thank you!
