We are participating in the upcoming #GivingTuesdayNow. This event is usually held in December, but a special time has been set for May 5, 2020 to help provide an emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The day is designed to drive an influx of generosity and support for nonprofits around the world.
At a time when we are all experiencing the pandemic, generosity gives everyone power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on. It’s a day for everyone around the world to stand together and give back in all ways, no matter who or where we are.
oneMESSAGE.tv has been working on the Bible Storying Video project with an unreached people group in South America* and we will continue that project later this Fall if the COVID-19 crisis passes. But this people group is struggling during the pandemic with simply finding their next meal. Their villages have been totally locked down with no one coming in or out. That means that in many of their villages families have no way to just get food for day-to-day meals.
There are other members of our people group who live in the cities. Many times they are at the lowest rung of the economic ladder, and have been most severely impacted by the nationwide quarantine.
Our mission partners are reaching out to this part of the people group in the city, and bringing them food to help them survive.

We each have the power to make an impact with acts of generosity, no matter how small, and to ensure the sustainability of organizations and services that are crucial to the care and support of our communities,” said Asha Curran, CEO of GivingTuesday.
“#GivingTuesdayNow is a chance for us to stand united and use grassroots generosity to show that we are all in this together, beginning to end.
On May 5th, oneMESSAGE.tv will be raising support to reach our South American people group both now and later.
Half of all the donations that we raise on #GivingTuesdayNow will go directly to our mission partners to provide urgently needed food right away.
The other half of the donations will be used to provide more Bible Storying videos once the pandemic subsides.
